The Blackstone Exclusive Golf
Resort on Korea's Jeju Island is deploying a
Nortel IP-PBX to cover its clubhouse,
condominiums, hotel and golf course. In a second
phase, the Resort plans to implement a Nortel
Wireless Mesh Network to cover the entire golf
course and provide a VoWLAN service to caddies,
including PTT (Push to Talk) capabilities. Under
consideration for the future is a
golfer-customized wireless PDA service to
provide course guidance and real-time scoring
checks.
Thailand
PTT Public Company Limited,
Thailand's only fully integrated gas company and
a state enterprise under the supervision of the
Ministry of Energy, is deploying a comprehensive
enterprise voice solution from Nortel -
comprising Communication Server 1000 for
wireline and wireless IP telephony, Symposium
Call Center Express and Optivity Manager.
Deployment will be at PTT headquarters with a
link to the Wang Noi electrical generation
plant, a current Nortel customer. Nortel was
selected by PTT because of system reliability,
competitive pricing and the company's proven
experience and capabilities.
